India again

This photo is of a local holy man who was sitting just near a ghat in Udaipur.

A dancer in Shilpgram village- about 20min from Udaipur.

We then travelled on to Jodphur, known as the blue city. This is inside the local fort.

You can see below why Jodphur is called the blue city.

On then to Bishnoi, a desert village. This was a gorgeous birds nest outside out room.

This was our hut in the Bishnoi village, it was a gorgeous and peaceful place.

Ready to start blogging again

Well I'm back from India and back at work and so life is back to its hectic pace. Hence why I haven't had a chance to write a post before now.

India was fantastic, I loved every single little bit of it. We started in Delhi and then went on to Agra and Fatepah Sikri. From there we went to Jaipur, Udaipur and then Jodphur. The final section of our trip was Mumbai and then Aurangabad.

Starting today, and then over the next few days I'll post some of my photos and then finally get back to reporting about normal life.

I took this photo at Jama Masjid a gorgeous mosque in Delhi.

This was a goat outside a mosque in Fatepah Sikri. I love the fact he was wearing a hat and necklaces.

Off to India

Well in a few days time my hubby and I are heading off overseas. We are starting in Singapore and then we're off to India for about 3 1/2 weeks.

We are starting up near Delhi and then travelling around to Jaipur, Udaipur and Jodphur. Then head south to Mumbai and aurangabad.

I won't be able to update this while away but upon returning I will upload mountains of photos and lots of stories.

sketchbook covers

I've been stuck writing reports and finishing up school stuff for the last few weeks so my posts have been minimal. About the only thing I got organised is the covers on my sketchbooks. I've made them so that I can interchange them between books.

This first cover is just shapes that I put on with fusible  

   webbing and then did some hand embroidery.

This second cover has a section of random patchwork type 

 fabric on it.

 This last cover is a whole heap of small pieces of my dyed 

 fabric. They've all been hand stitched together to make the 

 cover. I couldn't tell which was the front and back easily, 

so I then put a piece of ribbon on the front.
